PRINTS - DETAILS

I am passionate about seeing photography in print. In a world where images are often momentarily flicked through in the palm of a hand or computer screen, print is a format where we can engage with the depth and detail of a scene unrestricted by time or distraction.

It is for this reason that reason that I wanted to make high quality prints as accessible as possible. I make professional standard high quality prints to order up to size A2 (17x22inches) on archival paper, and post all over the world from my home in the Highlands of Scotland (see details below). The vast majority of my images are available for print - however the print store takes time to populate, so if you have an image in mind from my portfolio or social media feeds but it is not in the print store - please get in touch!

BESPOKE PRINT REQUIREMENTS

If you have specific requirements for size (besides those offered below) or would like to print on different wall products such as canvas or art panels (no framing required!) - please get in touch.

For such projects I use Loxley Colour Photo Lab who create some amazing print products - just about anything is possible!

ARCHIVAL PAPER PRINTS - DETAILS

SIZING

The aspect ratio of most images is 3:2, other ratios might be: 1:1 (square), 3:1 or 2:1 (panoramic). When selecting your product, you will be given you the respective sizing options depending on the ratio.

For a 3:2 image (most common) they are as follows:
*6 x 4 inches (152 x 101 mm) – printed on A5 paper
*9 x 6 inches (229 x 152 mm) – printed on A4 paper
*15 x 10 inches (381 x 254 mm) – printed on A3 paper
*18 x 12 inches (457 x 304 mm) – printed on A2 paper

PERSONALISATION AND CUSTOM REQUESTS

Other sizes are available upon request (up to 17x22inches) - prices may vary slightly; please contact me to discuss any specific requirements

Unless they are numbered and stated as 'Limited Edition', prints come as standard unsigned, but I would be very happy to sign prints for you if requested.

*Please note - the ‘aspect ratio’ of each image is an integral component of its composition and it has been carefully created by the photographer. However, if you wish to discuss any specific requirements, please get in touch.

FRAMING / MOUNTING

The prints are not trimmed to allow for flexibility when framing/mounting; therefore, there will be a white border of minimum 0.75 inch / 190mm (See product image).

Frames and/or ‘passe-partouts’ / mounts are not included (though each print will have a white border which can be used). The range of printed image sizes available are specifically offered to be used with commonly found frame sizes.
*NB. Mock-up frame images are to give examples of how your prints might look in a frame and in various settings - these are not to scale.

PRINTER / INK

All images are professionally printed with superb detail and colour using the Canon Pro1000 Photo printer using the “LUCIA PRO 12-ink” system’s broader colour gamut and fine-tuned detail.

PAPER

Depending on the image – I will select one of the following premium grade photo papers:

1. Fotospeed Platinum Baryta 300 is 100% acid-free, Fine Art paper with a smooth unglazed gloss surface. A natural white base and state of the art micro-porous ink receiving layer delivers a high D-MAX (2.7) and wide colour gamut. Platinum Baryta 300 reveals delicate highlights and smooth transitions to shadows for both colour and B&W printing. The paper is approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and It is used in conjunction with pigment inks ensuring a print life of more than 85 years.

2. Smooth Cotton Signature Paper 300 is 100% cotton, pH neutral, fine art paper with an ultra-smooth surface. The paper’s white base and state of the art coating delivers the highest level of ink load of all the Fotospeed range. Smooth Cotton 300 is therefore ideal for high saturation images. It is used in conjunction with pigment inks, the paper will ensure a print life of more than 85 years.

Regular 1st class postage is free in the UK / Tracked +£5

Postage to Europe - £8 (€9) / Tracked +£6 (€7)

Postage to rest of World - £12 ($14) / Tracked + £8 ($10)

I ship every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please message me if you need something urgently, and I'll do my best to meet your requirements.

PACKAGING

All prints are packaged in rigid cardboard envelopes with additional cardboard backing ensuring they arrive with you in perfect condition. They are further protected by a bio-degradable clear sleeve.

A2 prints and prints being sent out-with Europe are posted in a rigid poster tube.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

• Dispatch items back within: 30 days of delivery

• Request a cancellation within: 12 hours of purchase

• The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

• Custom or personalised orders

• Digital downloads

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
