I am happiest and most content when I am in nature and this passion shines through in my photography. Biking, hiking, skiing, canoeing or just being, its all an adventure - and one on which I always have my (big heavy) camera with me. I bring a varied and eclectic mix of experience to foster creative, nature inspired imagery - often shooting in challenging conditions in the mountains, forests and elements, through day and night – I capture both serene and epic images, working natural light as much as possible to capture the atmosphere and feeling and to transfer the viewer to the scene. I have an intimate knowledge of locations in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland – benefitting from years of adventuring experience as well as years as a professional tour guide. I am happy to travel as required far and wide and go the extra mile to capture coveted images.

I am inspired documenting both interiors and exteriors of built and design environments - shapes, angles, materials, functionality, light and lines, and importantly the human experience of the space and the relationship with the surrounding environment.

Whether for holiday let, estate agency, architectural features or heritage details, I can provide you with quality, high-resolution photographs for use in websites, social media, brochures and other publicity materials. Happy to document specific renovations or features on a small scale or to document various stages of your project, from site development through the construction process to buildings in use including detailed images and details of the finished project.

Having worked in the Humanitarian sector for a decade, I am fortunate to have had many rich and humbling experiences, challenging missions, and compelling stories to tell. I am impassioned to contribute to deserving and inspiring stories - to highlight your work and cause. My photography approach comes with a profound understanding of the sector and demands involved.

Before turning full time as a photographer I worked in project management in a variety of humanitarian responses for a decade. I have worked, lived and travelled extensively in Africa, Asia, South and Central America, and the Middle East for a number of organisations and emergencies. I produced a lot of project photography documentation for assessment and reports - astute to the to specific circumstances of cultural sensitivities and respectful practice, as well as requirements of donors and other stakeholders.
